In response to the fact that this seems to be the summer of restaurant-related movies (Ratatouille, Waitress and No Reservations), Premiere Magazine has released a list entitles "The Top 20 Most Mouthwatering Movie Moments." I'll leave it to you to go and peruse the descriptions, but here's the movie list:
- Babette's Feast
- Big Night
- A Christmas Story
- Eat Drink Man Woman
- Fatso
- Fried Green Tomatoes
- Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle
- In Her Shoes (brought the term 'foodie' to the movies)
- Like Water for Chocolate
- Marie Antoinette
- Mostly Martha (the German film that inspired No Reservations)
- My Best Friend's Wedding
- Off the Menu: The Last Days of Chasen's
- Soul Food
- Spanglish (featuring the Thomas Keller BLT, pictured above)
- Tampompo
- Tom Jones
- Vatel
- Volver
- Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (the original)
What are your favorite movies about food? I've added all the movies from this list that I haven't seen to my Netflix queue, but I'm sure there are others out there. List your recommendations here, and/or add me as a friend on Netflix.
Thanks to The Stew for the original link to this story.

When I think of 'food movies' Chocolat pops as a top choice on the positive side and Super Size Me on the negative - just to show that there is good and bad in everything.
